The Queer Sacramento Authors Collective is the brainchild of Pat Henshaw, Christopher Koehler, and J. Scott Coatsworth, three Sacramento authors of queer fiction who came up with the idea at lunch at the Tower Café in 2016. Since its inception, the group has grown to more than thirty local authors, writing everything from gay romance to lesfic, from children’s books to non fiction.
We’ve also held a number of readings at the wonderful Lavender Library, and have had the chance to meet readers and authors at Sac Pride and the Rainbow Fest.
Our reason for existing is to connect Sacramento’s wonderful queer literary community with the wider queer community in our beautiful city.
Our authors meet every other month to hang out together and share stories and tips.
